Webometrics is a web ranking of universities in the world. Its presence in several circles in Indonesia has been misinterpreted as ranking universities in the world. So that the motivation and philosophy of the initiator becomes blurred which the purpose of webometrics is to promote the website to promote Web publications. Supporting the Open Access initiative, electronic access to scientific publications and other academic materials are the main targets of the webometrics itself.
